1. “You’ll find him when you least expect it.” Um, does that mean I shouldn't be checking out all the cute new guys? Because if that’s wrong, I don't wanna be right.
2. “Are there any cute boys in your classes?” Yes, Mom. But they're all taken.
3. “I wish I was single!” No. Just stop that right now.
4. “Do you want to come out to dinner with me and my BF?” That’s a really nice offer and all, but third wheeling it on a Friday night is not my idea of a great time. I'll pass.
5. “I wish we could all go on double-dates!” Wow. That makes me feel a lot better.
6. “Your standards are too high!” LOL nope. I would rather wait for my Prince Charming than settle with someone who doesn’t make me happy. I'll keep my standards just where they are, thank you very much.
7. “I know someone who would be perfect for you!” Translation: I know someone who's also single, even though you two probably have nothing in common.
8. “Single girls have more fun!” Yeah, maybe. But when you're all slow-dancing and I'm chilling by the punch bowl, it doesn't exactly feel that way.
At the end of the day, though, let's be real—being single certainly has its perks.
