Recycling isn’t just rockin’ for the environment—it can be way cool for your wallet, too. If you and your buds are a tad low on funds, check out the classified section of your local paper—in tons of communities across the country, scrap metal dealers and paper mills run ads looking for recyclable materials. Give the companies in your area a ring to find out what they need and how much they pay, then go through each others’ attics and garages for unwanted stuff like costume jewelry, brass, copper and glass items, old newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes and aluminum cans. Pack up what ya find, haul it in, and split the profits fifty/fifty! Make sure ya ask the ‘rents before you sell anything.
