I’m dating this guy at my school because I found out he liked me and he was one of my crushes. Anyway, lately we’ve been real honest with each other and have told each other everything and I really like him, but when some people found out, they try to impress him and make up lies about me so he’ll break up with me, and the guys who have a crush on me try to do the same to him! Some people think we aren’t right for each other, but I know we are. Help! How do I stop these people from kicking us to the curb?

Being in a relationship is hard enough. Being in a relationship where everyone is rooting for you to fail is even harder. It sounds as though some of these people are simply jealous of your relationship. But you can’t let them get you down.

Most of the time when people make up lies and try to start drama, they are simply looking for a reaction. If you remain cool, calm and collected, they’ll get bored because they won’t have anything to talk about.  And yes, they may get on your nerves, but try your best not to let it show. 

The most important people in your relationship are you and your BF. Simply let him know the lies aren’t true. As long as he believes you, it doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks.
