WOOOOOOOO! Guess what week it is? ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER WEEK! Some of you may be like “Blah…” but your girl Rainbow is a BROADWAY GEEK 4 LIFE! And ALW wrote some AMAZING stuff… Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ: Superstar… he’s a great composer. This should be a fun week.

Syesha Mercado sang “One Rock and Roll Too Many” from Starlight Express. It was definitely one of her best performances ever… she loves doing Broadway stuff, and she’d be good if she ended up there. I loved it!

Grade: A+

And, one of my favorite songs… being sang by one of my least favorite singers. How in the world will Jason Castro pull off “Memory” from Cats? He doesn’t even understand the song. Ick. His vocals were off and it was…gross.

Grade: D

Brooke White is singing a BEAUTIFUL song from the movie version of Evita. It’s just…wow. I really love this song and she does it well, of course I’m comparing it to the original so I don’t like it AS much, but for her, it’s good.

Grade: A-

David Archuleta’s singing the amazingly high first soprano song “Think of Me,” from Phantom of the Opera. It’s a beautiful song, and I think he’ll do well. He changed the arrangement, but I loved it. I thought he might have sang “Don’t Cry for me Argentina,” but I guess not. I’ve never heard a guy sing this, but he’s doing quite well. I do think that my heart started beating a little faster. Scratch that, I think I just swooned. He changed the melody a bit, but this is SO good. Love.

Grade: A+

Carly Smithson made a great choice by singing “Jesus Christ Superstar” from the musical of the same name instead of “All I Ask of You” from Phantom, much as I love it, “Superstar” is a better song for her. It’s a really… for lack of a better word, it’s a cool song.

Grade: A

EEEEEEEK! My favorite song pretty much EVER being sung by pretty much my favorite Idol contestant EVER! DAVID COOK IS SINGING “MUSIC OF THE NIGHT” FROM PHANTOM!!! So he can rock, but he can sing this too? I LOVE DAVID COOK. Lovelovelovelovelovelovelove. This is my favorite Idol performance. Ever.

Grade: A+

David Cook gave the best performance EVER, but David Archuleta was also amazing. David Cook’s power just sort of made me forget everyone else though.

*lovesick sigh*
