Lily Collins comes clean about Taylor Lautner
In the action adventure Abduction (out today), Lily plays Karen, Nathan’s (Tay’s) school project partner who uncovers his mug on a missing persons’ website forcing them to go on the run. We caught up with Lily and had her spill the dirt on her latest flick and her real-life prince charming.
More Than Just Jacob “Taylor is such an incredible young man and an amazing actor. Nathan is very much Taylor being Taylor, but also bringing in a whole new side of him that people haven’t seen yet. There are so many emotions his character and mine have to go through in the span of seconds because we’re thrown into these situations. They are roles that challenged both of us.”
Lautner Lowdown “Taylor is very enthusiastic and passionate, yet such a down-to-earth person. We would be shooting in the middle of the night and there would be tons of fans waiting for him. He would go out and sign autographs at like 5:30 in the morning when we were done shooting. He’s the guy everyone hopes he would be when you meet him.”
Stunt Doubles? “Pretty much everything is Taylor and me. He got to do the coolest stuff at PNC Park.”
Makeout Sesh “Taylor makes everyone around him feel comfortable and just happy to be wherever we are. Steamy scenes are not hard to do when you’re with someone who makes you laugh take after take.”
Don’t Make Me Laugh “We were shooting in a swimming pool for all the underwater filming. Taylor and I were in all of our clothes–heavy jeans, boots and jackets—jumping into this pool. We had to hold our breath for a long time and would start laughing underwater. Whenever you start laughing, your lungs open up and you have to breathe, so you have to go up. I don’t even know how many outtakes we had from that!”
Worth The Wait From the second director John Singleton shouted shoot, Taylor was reportedly taken with Lily, but she took her time before hooking up with the Hollywood hottie. “It’s very important to start out as friends and learn about each other before you take that step. If it organically goes there, then that’s a beautiful thing.”
Be sure to catch Lily and Taylor in Abduction (in theaters today) then come back and let us know your thoughts.
