WATCH: Nike just debuted their "Dream Crazier" campaign and it's *so* empowering

This year, the Academy Awards weren't just a way to celebrate amazing achievements in film. On Sunday, Feb. 24, female athletes some time in the spotlight during the award show's commercial break.

After battling controversy with their last collaboration with Serena Williams, Nike released the first advertisement in their new "Dream Crazier" campaign, which focuses on women's equality in sports.

The commercial featured several popular female athletes, including gymnast Simone Biles and snowboarder Chloe Kim. Williams delivered a powerful voiceover (seriously, you'll get goosebumps when you listen), describing some of the stereotypes facing women: being too emotional, being called "nuts" when wanting to play sports with men and overcoming adversity in athletics.
