Looking Like An Angel On The Walls Of Melrose Avenue
Watching paint dry has never been so exciting when it comes to Olivia updates.
After her album announcement, Livies were quick to theorize that the you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love cover references the infamous The Swing (1767) by Jean-Honoré. Now, the star of the Melrose mural takes the next step by *becoming* the painted portrait of the rumored OR3 cover reference.
The mural is v. on-brand with OR3’s arts-and-crafts approach to decor. With needle felt hearts and red thread in “the cure” and paper doll lyric videos, paint might be the only art form Olivia had yet to master. The Melrose mural puts that to rest, confirming that–ofc–our girl does it all.
Photo-Ops + Us = <3 Forever
Does this gravestone give you deja vu? DW, you’re not going crazy–this popular photo opp *actually* rose from the dead. If you watched Olivia’s SNL live performance of “drop dead,” you may have caught the same gravestone above the band’s underground set design.
Between Liv’s gravestone, pink picnic blankets and the carved “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” tree, fans had endless photos hoot opportunities. Not to mention, the level of flowers had the park looking like an enchanted forest. So, if anyone knows the “favorite florist” from Olivia’s “purple” track, pls let us know ASAP!

Fans or fortune tellers? It seems that the Livies are calling the fate of you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love with “AOTY” predictions covering the “u + me = <3” autograph wall. And let us just say–we’re with the crystal ball on this one.

L.A.-specific merch also incorporated phrases like “drop dead in los angeles” and “you seem pretty sad for a girl in Los Angeles.”
Along with complimentary strawberry matcha and posters of the you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love album cover, American Express cardholders also got a free Olivia tote.
“Olivia Was Here <3”
After casually dropping her latest masterpiece, Olivia made a surprise appearance at The Park Experience pop-up (and once again, she has us lovestruck). Her “Olivia was here <3” signature could be spotted within the sea of signatures on the “u + me = <3” wall.
With a drop-waist white slip dress, pink accents and an adorbs heart-covered purse, Olivia’s dreamy outfit tapped into the ultimate “girl so in love” romantic look.
Her most iconic accessory? The element of surprise. Olivia launched The Cure Gallery alongside The Park Experience after her album’s release to immerse fans within the music video’s world. The exhibit ran June 12-14 and was a DIY dream. Enter: a tiny cardboard dollhouse, Olivia’s unraveling nurse uniform and even storyboards behind the video.
When it comes to loving someone more than “any stupid song could ever say,” Olivia (alongside her new album *and* surprise stunts) has us and our hearts covered.
