TSITP fans, time to scream: Lola Tung is officially returning to the stage—and she’s reuniting with former cast mate Jordan Fisher to do it. This past weekend, The Summer I Turned Pretty star and longtime Broadway leading man, joined the New York City workshop of a brand-new mystery musical called The Turning—and yes, we’re already obsessed.
On October 10 and 11, writer-composer Zack Zadek debuted his new folk mystery musical in a private workshop presentation featuring a star-studded cast, with Lola and Jordan reuniting as the dynamic duo we didn’t know we needed…again.
If you didn’t know, back in 2024, the pair starred together as Eurydice and Orpheus in Hadestown on Broadway. Yes, our girl Lola made her Broadway debut and she absolutely killed it. The Tony Award-winning musical puts a modern spin on the classic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice that blends jazz and folk music in the best way possible. Lola and Jordan’s on stage chemistry was so magical it’s no wonder fans are excited this duo’s teaming up again.

The Turning tells the story of L.A.-based besties Gracie and Nora who escape their hometown and take a trip to a wellness retreat. They later discover its strange rituals that test how far they’ll go to heal. This folk musical is directed by Sammi Cannold and choreographed by Chanel DeSilva and we seriously can’t wait to see what this incredible creative team has cooked up.
As we all await the next steps of this show’s journey, it’s clear that with such a talented company and team this show is destined for success. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this musical- fingers crossed we all get to see these two take the stage together once again.
