The style evolution of Ariana Grande

From her iconic breakup anthems to powerhouse vocal skills, Ariana Grande is THE perfect pop star. We've been obsessed with her creative style choices and Insta-worthy looks ever since her early days on Victorious. From half-up half-down hairdos and circle skirts to extremely high ponytails and winged eyeliner, Ari's style evolution is one we'll never forget.

The Victorious Era:

O.G. fans of Ms. Grande will totally remember blasting the Victorious soundtrack with their besties and dying to have Cat Valentine's cherry-red hair. Cat was constantly bubbly and charming, while always rocking playful outfits and bold prints. This era was truly iconic, and we're still just as obsessed with Ari's signature girly looks.

Yours Truly

Next up, we've got Yours Truly—Ariana's style in all her glory. This era is commonly remembered for Ari's half-up half-down hairstyles and sweetheart dresses. With iconic looks from music videos like "The Way" and "Baby I," Ari was *always* pretty in pink. You may even remember her first single, "Put Your Hearts Up," when she wore the classic hot pink ballgown with her signature red hair and gold heels.

My Everything

Looking back on the My Everything era, we're reminded of all the cute cat ears and knee-high socks. Remember the days of learning the choreo from the "Focus" music video and scream-singing "One Last Time" to absolutely no one? Oh, the nostalgia! White gogo boots, comfy sweaters, plaid skirts and peplum tops were Ari's iconic pieces. We're still dying to own the black and white checkered dress from the "Focus" music video. How did she master the perfect high ponytails time and time again?

Dangerous Woman

The Dangerous Woman era brought a totally new look for Ari. Characterized by fun hair accessories, experimental gowns, oversized sets and black knee-high boots, this era brought us iconic songs like "Be Alright" and "Greedy." When you think about this era, you might remember the iconic black bunny ears from the Dangerous Woman music video or the iconic black turtleneck dress that she wore on tour.

Sweetener

The Sweetener era brought us all the sunshine on our cloudy days. With hit songs like "Successful," Sweetener served so many memorable looks (like the pink babydoll dress and the classic side part ponytail). This era solidified oversized sweaters and knee-high boots as Ari's signature look. Sometimes comfy casual is truly the best option! Let's not forget about the Sweetener album cover with Ari's platinum blonde hair and adorbz bodysuit.

Thank u, next

The Thank u, next era is truly one of a kind. With an incredible tour, iconic breakup anthems and pop perfection, Ari was serving looks with her iconic makeup and trendy style. The Thank u, next music video paid homage to our fave early 2000s movies. Ari rocked a mix between Y2K styles and dressed-up red carpet looks. While revamping the half-up half-down look with a sleek ponytail, Ari was able to perfectly capture the playful and vibrant energy of the album.

Positions

The Positions era was everything we needed and more this year. From her effortless makeup looks to impeccable fits, Ariana didn't hold back. We need *every* outfit from the Positions video! How did she perfect her winged eyeliner so easily? Signature matching outfits like the sage green skirt set and flashy pink dress are instantly the perfect style inspiration. Ari is truly switching up positions with her style game. We can't wait to see what iconic looks she comes up with next!
