Kiddie Kingdom
If the house is a mess, I play a game with the kids called kingdom. We start out with a king or queen and the "assign" chores to each person in the room as well as giving them self some work. After all the jobs are complete the king or queen looks over everything and says if it's good or if it still needs work.
If all good the king or queen chooses the most hard working to be the king or queen in charge of the next room! The best part is is that the kids are kind because they either wanna be the next king or queen or they want to be a good king or queen so they will be chosen again.
GL Tip: Make the kiddies a fun crown that they can wear when they're king or queen. A magic wand to wave could also work!
