So you finally 'fess up to your new friend and tell her about the boy you've had a crush on since forever!  You swore her to secrecy and she kept your promise but now she likes him too. Worst part is, she isn't the shy one about her feelings and has been flirting with your crush non-stop ever since!  What do you do?

Last year, I started befriending this girl whose locker was next to mine. We got pretty close and I told her that I was going to ask my crush to the upcoming school dance. When I was walking over there to finally ask him, my "friend" ran right by me asked him first! I was so mad because I had specifically told my friend that I have liked this guy for four years. How could she do something like that?"

BFF Fix-It: Hey girl! That is definitely a BFF no-no!  I would be straight-up with your friend and ask her why she would do something like that. There are no excuses for that kind of behavior, especially because you trusted her with some very secretive info! She seems like the type of girl who is extremely jealous so I would be careful. 

Sounds like she only wanted to ask him to the dance so you weren't able to which isn't a very "friend" thing to do at all. If she sincerely apologizes for her actions, then give her one more chance to prove herself.  But if she backstabs you again I'd drop her!
