Boob debacle

I'm having some breast trouble. One of my aunts on my dad's side is very flat-chested, and another one is definitely not. My mom has normal-sized breasts and she says that I have bigger ones than she did at this age.

I keep thinking that I'm going to have one breast like my flat aunt and one like my busty aunt. One is bigger already and it worries me a lot. I am very self conscious about it and I'm kind of scared that they'll stay this way since one is almost an inch fuller than the other. I'm a diabetic and I'm in a healthy weight range if that has anything to do with this.

I really hope I don't have to get breast implants so I'll be even. I hope even more that my diabetes isn't messing me up.

Hey, girlie! I know puberty can be crazy. Not only is your body changing, but so is everything else, and that can be really scary!

No two people have the exact same sized breasts. The size and shape of a woman's breast size varies considerably. Certain factors that can influence the size of one's chest are volume of breast tissue, family history, age, weight loss or weight gain, etc.

Just like a person's arm length, leg length, and facial structure, a woman's breasts are rarely symmetrical. Don't fret it if you've noticed that one is bigger already! Usually one breast is slightly larger or smaller, higher or lower, or shaped differently than the other.  Many young teens will notice this happening to them during puberty, and often it will even out with time.

Take a look around you. Do you see people walking by with one flat boob and one gigantic boob? Never! I know this is a stressful time because of all the changes you are noticing that are happening to your body, but relax, and understand that what's happening right now is perfectly normal. Don't be alarmed! Hang in there, chica!
