Make Your Own Movie Night!

Movie nights are a great way to get kids to drift off to sleep without whining or complaining. About an hour and a half before their bedtime, put a kid-friendly movie in the DVD player and make a snack like popcorn. Get a bunch of pillows and blankets out so they can get comfortable. Turn out the lights. Make sure to go around and collect their bowls when they are done with the snack. Chances are, the kids will fall asleep or doze during the movie, making the thought of going to bed a lot easier.

Another great tip? Before the movie, the kids can make "movie posters" and "tickets" just like at a real movie theater. They will have fun and get into the spirit of movie night.
