Mitchel Musso: Our Soundtrack to His Life

Hey, girlies! We’re sure you love Hannah Montana cutie Mitchel Musso as much as we do. And now’s your chance to see him extend his talent beyond the small—and big—screen as his self-titled debut album drops today, June 2.

The album is pop/rock in all of its glory, filled with songs centered around relatable topics like girls, growing up and fitting in. We got Mitchel on the phone and had him dish on everything from music and family to Hannah Montana. His album is sure to be a hit but, after hearing from him, we just had to make our own soundtrack to the life—and thoughts—of Mitchel Musso himself. Here’s what we composed…

Track 1- Perfect Pitches
“The album has a dance, rock and kind of hip-hop sound. It has so many different sounds because I like every type of music. I like everything from Elton John to Lil Wayne.”

Track 2- Rock ‘n’ Roll
“You aren’t going to find any of the tracks [on this album] depressing [or] sad and slow. It is just about living your life and having fun. It is not all about the music, but the words. It is about getting the messages across.”

Track 3- Total Character
“I take on a different character with every song that I come across. I take on a role. Instead of saying, ‘This song is about a girl that I am in love with.’ I’m more like this song is about having a party and let’s make it big.”

Track 4- The Family Man
“You should be completely honest with your parents. As a kid, sometimes you’ll lie to your parents, but truthfully, growing up, I love having respect from my parents. But I’ve had to build it. I’ve learned that being honest and truthful with your family is the best thing you can do.”

Track 5- Not Another Cinderella
“I have chores that I do. I always make my bed. I have a dog so I have to pick his stuff up in the backyard. I take out the trash. A lot of times, I’ll be at home and clean up around the house. I would say living with three boys actually, five boys including my dad and 135 lb. dog and my little mom, we do tend to get a little messy.”

Track 6- Never Ending
“How would I like to see [Hannah Montana] end? Oh, I don’t want to see it end! I grew up on this show. I love the show to death. It is like my secondary family, my secondary home. I would hate to see it end but, if it had to, I’d rather it be on a good note.”

Track 7- Back to the Future
“I have an idea for my second album that I have a little bit of a jump start on. I don’t know where that is going to go, but hopefully [it will include] a lot of piano. And [I hope to do] more movies. I know Phineas and Ferb is living on so I will keep working on that.”

Are you excited about Mitchel’s debut album? Blog about it, babes.
