Snazzy Spring Nails

Wanna give your mani some serious zing this spring? Opt for hues that are lighter or brighter. Right now, we love airy pinks and lavenders or classic colors like coral and bright pink. Shimmer and iridescent colors are definitely hot as well as baby blues, neutrals and even white.
But before you step into the salon (or buy a bottle from the drugstore), read our guide to find a shade that’ll sizzle for your skin tone.

Fair Skin

Look for: Babes with pale skin should stick to polishes which have plenty of pigment. Hot pink, awesome shades of red-orange and even purples will always look amazing on you.

Avoid: Unless you’re going way sheer, paler shades may not show up against your light skin. Golds and yellows won’t do your creamy skin any justice!
Medium Skin

Look for: Sun-kissed ladies should always look for shine in their polishes. The metallics will enhance your gold undertones. You can also pull off light blues, pinks and ultra-pale neutrals.

Avoid: Green and beige polishes don’t bring enough drama to your digits.
Dark Skin
Look for: Lucky for you, most colors will look gorgeous with your skin. Rock light or poppin’ shades of blue, pink or purple. Bright pinks and corals bring fantastic contrast as well.
Barielle in Swizzle Stix, $8, barielle.com
Avoid: Medium to dark neutrals (think: maroon) and golds. They don’t have enough pop to really shine!
