With a record of 93 million votes for the top 13, Idol is bigger than ever. The tension was high as the contestants waited ever so anxiously to hear the results held in Seacrest’s hands. Nerves ran high not only for the idols, but for me as well (I was totally shaking in my seat!). Ryan announced a new rule that the judges could agree to save one contestant from being voted off this season. Wow, so many twists and turns it’s way too much to handle! What do you think about the changes?

Ryan first announced that Michael Sarver and Allison Irahetta were safe. Phew! Unfortunately Jasmine Murray was sent home and the judges agreed that she should go. The last spot was a battle between Anoop Desai and Jorge Nunez with Jorge getting the final send-off! The night was tough. I was definitely a Jasmine and Jorge fan. I am totally pumped for the other idols that are safe, though!  

The show also included a performance by Kanye West and the first ever American Idol, Kelly Clarkson. With such a suspenseful and exciting show, I am super excited for next week’s performances!
