Is your friends with benefits situation getting too serious?

I’ve been hooking up with this guy, but I have heard he is not looking for a relationship. Still, in front of people, he acts like we’re going out! Does “friends with benefits” work?
BILL: If a guy expects to just hang out but a girl expects a full-on relationship, you’ve got a pretty huge difference in expectations, which is bound to lead to problems. Talk to him about it rather than relying on hearsay. If you two aren’t in synch, you’ve got a decent chance of getting burned.
DAVE: FWB is an intriguing concept (hey, I’ve been looking for an acronym-coining opportunity for quite some time), but it rarely works in practice. Either you’re in it for the friendship or you’re in it for the “benefits.” If it’s both, that’s dating.
