It’s been a crazy year for 19-year-old Shenae, who first started acting when she was 11. “I was a major fan of “Degrassi the Next Generation” and I always looked at the cast and thought, “I could do that, too,” she revealed. So Shenae enrolled in dancing and singing lessons, and after a dance performance, she had an immediate offer from an agent who wanted to represent her. Some girls have all the luck, huh?

Coincidently, the first part she landed was on “Degrassi,” and from there, Shenae blossomed. But her recent successes on-screen haven’t been without years of hard work and sacrifice. “The hardest part is the rejection,” she says. “So many times I have called my agents and been like, ‘That’s it. I’m done. I’m never going to make it.’ You have those breakdown moments, but I think the important thing is to have other stuff going on.”

And that she does. While Shenae is no doubt a talented actress, she’s got a bunch of other interests and activities that we don’t know about (until now!). “I’m still going to take my SATs and hopefully get into one of my dream colleges,” she promises. Along with her studies, Shenae loves cheesy romantic comedies, teen flicks and MTV reality shows, as well as fashion. She even interned at Fashion Television. “That was a chance to pursue one of my greatest passions in life,” she explains.

Clothes, movies, friends and school—this girl’s got it all.
