I like this guy, and I know he likes me. Even though we both know we like each other, we just can't seem to get together. Should I give up or do something?
DAVE: Well, I always vote for being up front about things. Being proactive will at least give you an answer and-positive or negative-it will be easier to move on from there. Nothing worth having comes easily, so if he is a guy you really like, then take a shot to see if it will work. Sounds like you have nothing to lose.
BILL: Hey, were you the one who inspired the movie You've Got Mail? and every other romantic comedy? Let's face it, guys and girls not getting together has been the root of hundreds of movies, plays and songs since they invented talkies. It may take two hours and a box of popcorn, but they always hook up in the end. It's still the same old story.
