How to survive the last week of school: 15 tips for leaving on a high note

It’s the final countdown, and you honestly cannot wait. Five more days, lots of yearbook signing, tons of pictures and yeah, maybe a few tears. But before you slam your locker shut and board the bus for the last time, here are a few things to help you finish your year on the right foot. And hey, babe. Congrats!

Tip #1: Smile for the pictures. Really. You’re gonna look ridiculous if you don’t.

Tip #2: Always have a pen on you. Preferably colorful. And maybe glittery

Tip #3: Stash a travel pack of tissues in your purse, just in case someone gets all teary-eyed.

Tip #4: Follow the dress code. ‘Cause getting written up on the second to last day is kinda lame.

Tip #5: And while you’re at it, follow your teachers’ rules, especially when it comes to ceremonies and graduations. There’s a whole lot less yelling that way.

Tip #6: If you’re playing games in class, go all out. After all, why not?

Tip #7: Make lunchtime special. Bring in snacks, write notes, snap pics—anything and everything.

Tip #8: Tell your crush you’re, well, crushing. Trust us on this one.

Tip #9: Thank the teachers who helped you out, in person or in a card.

Tip #10: Clean out your locker before the final bell. You don’t want your last 15 minutes to be a frantic garbage fest.

Tip #11: Hug your friends one more time. Come on, bear hug! And if you promise to write, really do it.

Tip #12: Hunt down and turn in all of your library books. Fines are not fun.

Tip #13: Recycle the notes you don’t need, and stow the ones that might come in handy later.

Tip #14: Wish your frenemy an awesome vacay. It’s time to heal the rift.

Tip #15: And one more thing: Find that girl who doesn’t know you know she exists, and tell her you hope she has a great summer. It’ll make her smile, promise.
