GL's ultimate camp packing list
Can’t squeeze everything you own into
a duffel bag? Read on for the 10 essential you really, truly don’t
wanna leave behind. Happy packing!
Clothes you don’t mind getting
dirty. You don’t want to ruin your favorite top, but at the
same time, who wants to skip out on all the fun? Do yourself a favor
and pack the shorts and tees you don’t mind getting waterlogged ‘n’
covered in dirt. There’s no use cryin’ over mussed cotton when
there are games to play!
Sturdy sneaks. For hiking and
sports-playing, you’ll want multi-purpose shoes that will keep your
feet protected whether you’re hitting the field or climbing a
trail. Depending on the type of camp you’re going to, a pair of
sneaks and a pair of hiking boots might be more your speed.
Water shoes. OK, they’re not
exactly cute, but they’re perfect for water sports and dashing in
and out of lakes and rivers.
Sunscreen and Aloe Vera. Bring
it. You’ll be glad you did when your buds are bakin’ and you’re
sunburn-free.
A sweatshirt. Summer nights can
get chilly once the sun goes down. Pack a comfy sweatshirt so you
won’t be shivering all night long. And while you’re at it, a
raincoat is a good idea, too.
Stationary and stamps. Because
you are going to write home this summer. Right?
A journal or sketchbook. If
you’re not allowed to bring a camera, bring along a book you can
write and draw in so you won’t forget a second of this summer.
Bug spray and AfterBite. Scratching
mosquito bites only makes ‘em itch more, so do yourself a favor and
come prepared to face the swarms.
Mementos from home. Everyone
gets a li’l homesick, so pack a few things that’ll make you
smile. Besides, it’s always fun to look at what everyone else
decorates the cabin with!
Something fun. A pack of cards.
Your favorite snack. A new game. Whatever it is, toss it in your bag
for those rare moments of downtime with your new buds.
Calling all camp cuties! What do you
HAVE to pack every summer?
