Picnic for the planet

This Earth Day—that would be Friday, April 22 if you didn’t know—the Nature Conservancy is throwing a worldwide picnic…and they want you to join in!

Who? You! And your best friends. And their best friends. And your fam. And your crush. And your whole class, while you’re at it. In fact, why not get your school in on the fun?

What? A picnic! You know, green grass, cozy quilts, wicker baskets, lots of food and the occasional ant.

Where? At your favorite outdoor spot. It doesn’t matter if it’s your front yard, a local playground or a state park. Find a patch to call your own and get cozy with all the world has to offer. Plot your picnic online at meetup.com/natureconservancy

When? On and around Earth Day, April 22. You can simply go out for lunch, have a family dinner on the lawn or throw a blow-out bash. The point is to get outside and enjoy your time in the sun.

Why? Because Mother Nature’s done a lot for us, and it’s high time we took her out to lunch, don’t you think?

One more thing: Leave your picnic spot clean. That means taking all of your trash with you!
