22 things you can do to save the world
At school
1. Walk or bike to school
2. Choose reusable water bottles instead of plastic one-use bottles
3. Use a lunch bag rather than a disposable paper or plastic bag
At home
4. Speed up your showers and nix those bubble baths

7. Unplug all electronics when you’re not using them
8. Turn off the tube while you’re doing your homework

11. Turn off the fan or turn up the A.C. and use a lightweight blanket instead of a heavy comforter at night
Outside
12. Plant a garden
13. Instead of running a mile or two on a treadmill, hop on your bike and cruise around your neighborhood
14. Grab a few friends and pick up trash in a public space
With your buds
15. Send e-vites instead of paper invitations when you throw a party
16. Bring reusable bags on shopping trips
17. Shop at a vintage or thrift store
18. Up-cycle your worn-out T-shirts and other items into fun DIY jewelry, decorations, pillows or blankets. Check out GL Crafts for ideas and how-tos

Anywhere
20. Take the time to sort out recyclable goods from trash

22. Visit teensforplanetearth.org and begin a conservation or service-learning
project.
