Make a Summer Plan--and Get Started!

With sports winding down and the school year coming to a close, now’s the time to figure out what to do to stay fit this summer. Here are three ways to tackle all those open weeks and add a healthy kick to your vacay.

Do the Group Thing!
Now’s the time to gather girls for a weekly meet-up. Whether you heart field hockey or hiking, reach out to likeminded sisters and set a time to get together and play. Don’t just say you’re gonna practice together, make it actuality. Start this week to get the ball rollin’.

Sign Up—Stat
There might be a couple spots left in local camps or clinics or for summer leagues...so get on it! Who cares if you’ve never played lacrosse or aren’t so sure about lay-ups in basketball? Summer leagues are often a li’l more laidback and camps are prepped to dole out instruction to beginners. Be adventurous, babe. Once ya sign up, ask a bud with skills in that sport to spill a couple tricks.

Get a Goal
Don’t wanna shell out for exercise? Now’s the time to set your sights on something major. Whether you’re gunnin’ for varsity in the fall or wanna complete a triathlon by Aug. 1st, make your list this minute. You don’t have to be super-sporty or set a goal that’s outta this universe. If you’re just starting an exercise program, make one your goals to be able to workout for an hour...6 weeks from now. Slowly build up, week by week and watch your dreams become reality.
