No-sew t-shirt tote bag

Who knew you could DIY such a trendy tote just by slicing up someone’s old fave tee? Well, you do know. This bag is quick and easy to make, but the best part? No sewing necessary! All this bag design needs is a sharp pair of scissors and some top-notch knot-tying skills. Think you have what it takes? To start off, cut off the bottom and top of a shirt, making it more of a tote size. Then, cut tassels into the bottom edges of the shirt and tie them together. All that’s left to do? Flaunt your brand new (but super old) tote wherever you go.

Have you ever loved the top of a dress, but felt like the bottom was a little blah? Never fear, because we now have a way to fix that with our stylish little hack. While you’re already out thrifting, remember to grab a cute sundress and a matching maxi skirt. Slide the skirt down over the dress until it just covers up the real skirt, and carefully stitch it into place. Now you have some extra fluffy layers *and* a fresh new pattern on your sundress.

Picture this: the sun is beating down on you and, tbh, it sorta feels like a toaster oven outside…how do you keep the cozy vibes going without sweating like crazy? This cute tank, ofc! To recreate this top, snag some fabric scissors and shear off the sleeves of your top along the seam. Then, chop off some of the length to make your top a little less lightweight. And, that’s all! A stunning end product with almost zero effort.

Quirky, cute *and* quilted? Sign us up, bb! These sweatshirts may require a bit of sewing to recreate, but the end result? So worth it. To get this cute quilted look, you may have to snag a few different things at the thrift store. Ofc, there’s the base sweatshirt, but it’s also important to grab some patterned fabric scraps (we heart repurposing old blankets, tees or even sweatshirts) to cut up. Start by cutting rectangles out of your scrap fabric, and then spread them out on the bottom of the sweatshirt. Sew your pieces down in place to complete the look.
