Whether you’re super close with your sibling or spend half your time arguing over who gets to be player one on the Nintendo Switch, summer is the perfect szn to make some memories with your fam. Grab your brother or sister, then get ready for some peak vacay bonding time…
Have A Bake-Off

Think you have better decorating skills than your sib? Time to prove it.
Grab a box mix or a pack of plain store-bought sugar cookies, then whip up a batch of frosting. Set a timer and challenge each other to create the cutest summery designs possible. You could even rope in some of your friends and their siblings to turn it into a team comp (and you’ll have more people to help clean up all the sprinkles that will inevitably explode onto the kitchen table).
Become Tourists In Your Own Town
You know that bookshop-slash-café you’ve been saying you’ll try for years? Or that trendy thrift shop you’ve walked past hundreds of times while window shopping? Grab your sibling and *finally* see what the hype is about. Who knows? You might discover your new fave hangout spot (and now you have someone to take cute Insta pics for you. You’re welcome).
Create A Summer Bucket List

Every summer starts with grand plans. Grab a notebook and challenge yourselves to come up with 20 things to do before summer ends. To keep it fair, you each get to pick 10 things—no vetoes allowed! The activities don’t have to be expensive. Having a picnic, trying a new ice cream flavor or watching the sunrise together totally count.
Have A “Little Kid” Afternoon
Remember when summer felt endless and your biggest responsibility was deciding between chocolate or strawberry ice cream? Summer is a great time to relive those memories. Catch butterflies, draw with sidewalk chalk, build a blanket fort, hunt for oddly-shaped clouds or run through the sprinklers barefoot in the grass. You might feel silly or self-conscious at first, but sometimes the best memories come from letting yourself be carefree again.
Host A Backyard Olympics

Time to settle the age-old question: Who’s actually the most athletic sibling? To solve this *very serious matter,* create your own Olympic events using whatever you have at home. Think obstacle courses, water balloon tosses, relay races or even who can balance on one foot the longest. A handmade medal ceremony (you could follow a YouTube tutorial for paper mache or air-dry clay if you’re artsy) afterward is highly encouraged.
Film A DITL Vlog
No, you don’t have to post it online. Keeping it private means you can both be completely weird without worrying about views!
Spend a day recording little moments, funny conversations and mini adventures, then edit them together into a short video. Future You will love looking back on it.
Create A Time Capsule

Remember how your parents are always reminiscing about the ‘good old days’ of VHS tapes and no wifi? Well, at some point, it’s gonna be your turn! Write letters to your future selves, add photos, inside jokes and little reminders of what’s happening in your lives right now. Seal everything in a box and agree on a date to open it in the future.
Plan A Mystery Adventure
One sibling plans an afternoon activity while the other only gets clues about where they’re going. The destination doesn’t need to be extravagant: A park, café, bookstore or museum works perfectly. Half the fun comes from trying to figure out where you’re headed before you get there.
