Ugh, we all know the feeling. There’s just a few weeks left of school, the sun’s shining bright and, tbh, all the work’s starting to feel a little bit pointless. Even if you’re not quite a senior yet (sigh), we all start feeling a little restless when we hit those last few days. But wait–you still have endless end-of-year projects, finals and (eek!) AP tests! If you’re wondering how to fight senioritis *and* stay on top of your work, never fear! We’ve got all the best tips and tricks on feeling your best and slaying that final stretch.
Get organized

Senioritis often hits when everything on your plate suddenly feels pointless. Like, why are you doing a full algebra worksheet when graduation is ~right there~?
We get it, but instead of letting it all pile up (and stress you out even more), try giving your end-of-year assignments a tiny bit of structure. This doesn’t mean going out and buying a new planner—it just means making a quick overview of what actually matters.
Jot down your must-do assignments before the big day: think project deadlines, final exam dates, extra credit opps, and, ofc, anything that could tank your grade.
Then, do a quick five-minute binder clean-out. Tossing old papers and getting your study guides organized can make a world of difference when finals roll around.
Switch up the scenery

If you’ve been locking in from your bed or at your desk every night since second grade, it may be time for a change of scenery. When you designate a specific place for studying (and studying only—no scrolling!), going to that place tells your brain that it’s time to focus. Already found the perf study spot? Make sure that it hasn’t lost its magic. If we get *too* used to our go-to cozy corner, it can start to be less of a lock-in spot and more of an everything spot.
Our advice? Find somewhere that brings you joy (like, YK, your nearest cafe or aesthetic library). Even HW can be more fun when you’re doing it in the right place!
Treat yourself

Wouldn’t you feel *so* much more motivated to finish up that chem project if you knew there was an iced vanilla latte waiting for you at the finish line? Obvi, our biggest motivator right now is summer, but that sometimes seems so, so far away,
The best way to fix your motivation? Encourage yourself by setting mini goals and, ofc, treating yourself with mini rewards when you meet them. Finished up that Great Gatsby essay? Time to burn through a few pages of your *actual* TBR! And your solid studying for that calc test deserves a delish croissant. Trust us, tiny little prizes make big impacts.
Remember the finish line

Who said you need to forget about the prize to finish the race? Remembering how close you really are can actually help to banish some of those senior blues. The best way to encourage yourself is to keep a visual reminder of how long you have left, like crossing days off of a calendar or (our fave!) making a paper chain. If you want to go the paper chain route, all you have to do is add on a link for each day left in the year and cut one off each day (trust, watching that little line shrink is *so* encouraging).
The most important thing to remember? These last few weeks won’t last forever, and summer will be here before you know it. And, on the flip side, keep in mind that a whole stage of your life is about to be over. Who knows? You may find yourself missing this time later in life. Like we said, these days won’t last forever, so make ’em count.
More amaze school content, right this way…
