5 sneaky benefits of being healthy

Knowing that you’re gonna feel better when you’re old ain’t always enough to get you in the gym. Here are five benefits you’ll see right this second. Print this list and tape it up as a reminder to eat right and squeeze in those workouts!

Crystal clear skin

Studies show that increased circulation is fab for your complexion. As long as you wash your face post-workout, exercising is a great way to get rid of zits.

Less PMS

Exercise is a proven cramp cure. Get your heart goin’ a few times a week and say see ya to super-painful periods. Even if you feel less than stellar, try to find a few exercises you can do, like walking your pooch.

Sky-high grades

A half-hour workout daily leads to upped grades (particularly in math) and better organization (goodbye, locker pit). Don’t ditch studying for a run, but a brain-boosting circuit makes a fab study break.

Fewer icky colds

A daily, moderate dose of movement (20 to 30 minutes) ups your immune system. You’ll be less likely to catch the sniffles and have an easier time warding off stress.

Stayin’ out of trouble

A study found that teens who exercise were less likely to take part in risky behaviors like smoking, doing drugs or riding in a car without seatbelts. And staying on your ‘rents’ good side never hurts, either.
