Eat Right

3 foods to cut out of your diet (without going on a diet!)

Having healthy eating habits doesn’t mean going on a diet. Rather than trying out the newest fad, cut a few things out of your daily eating habits and swap them with healthy alternatives. By omitting just two things from the list below, you’ll notice a change right quick! (And psst, it’s totally okay to nosh a bit on the weekends: everything in moderation!)

French Fries
Whether going out to dinner with some friends or at a family cookout, nix the fries and swap in a small salad or a side of fruit. Cutting out the fried food will limit your sodium, fat and cholesterol intake and will lead to a much healthier you.

Sodas
Ditch the bubbly drinks! Researchers have found that the soda intake of our country has played a part in the rising obesity rate of the U.S. Also, it was shown that soda sucks the calcium out of your bones, which puts you are higher risk of breaking a bone or developing osteoporosis later in life. Rather than consume carbonated drinks and feel bloated all day, try drinking green tea or water for a more refreshed, clean feeling.

White Bread
Cutting back on the plain bagel for breakfast, white bread sandwich for lunch and pizza for dinner can help lower your calorie and carb intake every day. By skipping the bread, you’ll cut back on the carbs, which store sugar and are hard to burn off. Substitute whole grain or wheat bread instead of white for a healthier choice.
