The 6 best moisturizers to protect your skin this winter

The cold weather can be really be harsh on your skin...not just on your face, but all over your body, too. And *none* of us want to deal with dry, rough, itchy skin (yuck!). Here is a list of 6 super hydrating moisturizers that will keep your skin quenched and smooth this winter.

For your face:

The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisturizer, $22
The Body Shop's moisturizer is good for all skin types, whether you''re dry, oily or in between. It contains vitamin E which will add much needed moisture back into your skin and have your face glowing.

For your body:

Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion, $12
Made with dry skin in mind, this daily moisturizer contains oatmeal which can be very soothing. It's also non-comodogenic, meaning it won't clog your pores so it is safe to use on your face, too.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, $30
This cream is the priciest on the list but it's definitely worth the splurge. Great for all skin types and for both your face and body, it even provides relief for itchiness and irritation due to eczema.

Soap and Glory Righteous Butter, $14
This super rich, super thick cream contains moisturizing ingredients like aloe and shea butter for mega hydration. Bonus: It smells absolutely delicious!

Eucerin Original Skin Soothing Formula, $9
Eucerin is perfect for you if you are suffering from severely dry, irritated skin or have a skin condition like eczema or psoriasis on top of dryness from cold weather. This lotion is dye- and fragrance-free for sensitive skin and is dermatologically tested. It not only moisturizes but also locks in moisture in the skin so it can stay hydrated and smooth all day.

Jergens Crema Body Butter, $7
This body cream is even more hydrating than Jergens regular body lotion because the shea butter helps nourish and moisturizes your skin.

Bonus: To really help soothe your skin and eliminate itchiness, use a body scrub in the shower and then moisturize all over once you get out. We recommend the Tree Hut Himalayan Salt Scrub in Cherry Blossom. It leaves your skin feeling amazing and the cherry blossom sent lingers on your skin long after you leave the shower.
