What's with the cold shoulder?


I was chatting online with this guy I really like. After awhile, I told him that I liked him and he said the he liked me too! It’s been a month since then and he’s pretty much been ignoring me ever since. Why would he say that he liked me and then completely ignore me?

His Answer: "He might be too shy to ask you out on a date," says Ike Y., 17. "Or he could be a jerk. I would try to bring up a conversation about hanging out sometime. If he says yes, you know he meant it."   
Decoded: Sheesh, guys can be so confusing! Since you're not a mind reader, the ball’s in your court, girlie. 
Your Move: Get up the guts to ask him out. Invite him to come along with you and your gal and guy friends for a slice of pizza, to a movie, bowling—whatevs. If you’ve got a common interest—say you both love an indie band that’s coming to town—ask him if he’d like to get tickets for the show. Take the pressure off of him and you by keeping it casual. If he's not crushing back? Find a guy who won't wait around a month to ask you out.
