CRUSHES

Advice

This crush reunion turned out to be pretty awful

In 8th grade, I performed in a choir concert with people from all over my state. I was the only girl placed in the bass/tenor vocal range so I spent eight hours with a room full of guys. There was one guy, though, that really caught my eye. I never got his name but I didn't forget him. During my first week of high school (I go to a school that you must apply to to get in), I saw him! Out of all the people to be accepted into the same school as me, what are the odds?!

We dated for five months. I tried to ignore that I wasn't happy with him. We were always clashing. In February, I was participating in a musical theater production and he wasn't very supportive. The Sadie Hawkins dance was one week after Valentine's Day, which just so happened to be the same night as my opening night. So, on V-Day, I asked him to come to my show. He said he didn't want to go because he was afraid of my parents (my mom works at the school). I got so busy with the show and we had too many fights that couldn't take it anymore and broke it off with him. Then, he turned around and told the whole school he broke up with me and that I was mad for no reason. What I thought was fate was really just a bad relationship that I dismissed for too long.
