After
learning that they’ll be forced to spend a summer apart for the first time in
their lives, cousins Kate and Cecelia fear this summer is going to be the most
boring one yet. Little do they know what’s in store!

As
Cecelia staves off boredom in a quaint country town, Kate lands in the bustling
city of London and finds herself cursed by a cruel wizard through a magical pot
of chocolate. Sounds tasty, right?

Not
so much for Kate and Cecelia. As it turns out, they’re the only ones who can
prevent an evil plot from threatening the life of a beloved wizard. All this,
and struggling to keep up with the everyday duties of picking out the perfect
dress and finding a suitable date for their debut parties.

Written
in the form of letters between the two cousins, this 1817-based novel travels
through their crazy summer of magic, dresses and boys to show just how hectic a
boring summer can be!
