Tbh, we've *all* imagined living in our own IRL rom-com at some point, whether it be channeling Jenna Rink from 13 Going on 30 or Andie Anderson from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. And although it may not be possible to *actually* teleport into the movie itself, we can def take inspiration from it to implement into our day-to-day. 

Lucky for you, we created the ultimate guide to living life like a classic rom-com...bc who doesn't dream of having their own 2000s romance fantasy?

Rom-com core is the epitome of trend-setting fashion that *screams* main character (it's your world, and everyone else is just living in it!). Since we're throwing it back to the 2000s, this means low-rise bottoms, mini skirts and layering accessories. Ofc, every rom-com It-girl has their signature—Elle Wood's pink statement pieces, Cher Horowitz's matching sets and now, it's your turn to find your staple!

Attitude check

Out of all the iconic rom-com girls out there, one trait stays true to them all: confidence.  As empowering leaders, they know their worth and *never* settle for anything less! 

In 10 Things I Hate About You, Kat Stratford taught us about being unapologetically yourself—and we couldn't agree more. It's easy to follow the crowd, but Kat proved that she's independent, smart and doesn't need to meet her school's stereotypical expectations. 

Music deets

To enter your romance era, every gal needs their go-to playlist that matches the "love is in the air" energy.

Crush advice

Looking for your soulmate can be a looong journey...but DW, there's someone out there for everyone. Don't rush the process and let it come naturally! That being said, our rom-com faves are girl's girls at heart and will be there for their besties no matter what. Yes, having that dreamy guy is amazing, but having your gal squad by your side is *just* as important. 

Lastly, don't be afraid to take risks. As we've seen in pretty much every rom-com, it's best to tell that special someone how much they mean to you before it's too late (let's avoid rushing to the airport seconds before bae leaves to confess your feelings!).
