Pop singer (and total heartthrob) Jesse McCartney recently reemerged with his new song “Better With You," and it is a bop. 

In a Radio Disney exclusive interview airing today at 5 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST, you'll hear an acoustic performance of his new hit *and* get taste of 2004 again with a sweet rendition of the song that made him a household name, “Beautiful Soul.” But what does J really think of the track and its success?

"That was my debut single back in 2004 when I was 16 years old and it was the first time I got to sing professionally," he reminisces. "So it's not only nostalgic for everyone listening, it's also nostalgic for me."

Aw, so cute! And trust us, Jesse, we get some serious 2000’s flashbacks every time we listen. After the success of the song, the artist took some time off to focus on himself but now that he's back with "Better With You," you'll be seeing a lot more of him.

“I have a collection of about four to five songs that we finished up and are going to release this year." Yasssss! His latest (below) is p honest, too. Hear for yourself...

"It's about finding somebody that makes you a better person, a better version of yourself and that brings out the best in you.” Jesse says his main intent for the song was “to bring people together.”
