Hamilton totally swept the Tony Awards (duh!)

The 2016 Tony Awards took place Sunday night, and all of the biggest names in Broadway were in attendance. If you missed the awards ceremony, here’s what you need to know:

Hamilton was the night's big winner.

Is it any surprise? People have been raving about this play all year—including at the Grammy Awards where the cast put on a performance. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr. and the rest of the crew took home the awards for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Costume Design of a Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations. Leslie Odom Jr. also brought home the Best Lead Actor in a Musical award while Daveed Diggs nabbed Best Featured Actor in a Musical and Renée Elise Goldsberry scored Best Featured Actress in a Musical. That makes a total of 11(!) awards—woah.

The Humans scored this year's Best Play and Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge took home Best Revival while Best Lead Actor in a Play went to The Father's Frank Langella and Long Day's Journey Into Night's Jessica Lange won Best Lead Actress in a Play with Cynthia Erivo from The Color Purple nabbed Best Lead Actress in a Musical. Still, it was clear who the star of the night was—that historical hip-hop musical we've been hearing about all year.
