We're seeing Red: Our five hot new Tay Swift faves

Here at GL, we’re totally obsessed with all things Taylor Swift. The two-time cover girl is not only gorgeous and great singer, but she’s also a super-talented songwriter! In honor of her brand spankin’-new album Red, we’ve put together a list of our five top new faves.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the album, which came out this week, so you can choose your own faves!

“Stay Stay Stay”
One thing that’s so great about Taylor is that her songs are oh-so-relatable. She finds a way to voice our thoughts right into fun tracks, which she definitely does in this one. This jam is all about dating a super great guy after dating a bunch of not so great one. Even better? Taylor switches up her usual sound with something lighter: some ukulele! This song sounds like summer to us, which is exactly what we needed.

“22”
With an opening line of “It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters, and make fun of our exes,” we knew this song would be different. And we were right! There’s definitely a quirky feel that reminds us a bit of her hit single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Taylor’s defiant and all about having fun on this dance track—we love it!

“I Knew You Were Trouble”
With a unique country-pop crossover, Taylor plays with both genres on this album. This song definitely falls into the pop category, which we’re not minding at all! During the chorus, there’s even a dubstep break! Tay uses this track to talk about a bad boy, saying “Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now.”

“Everything Has Changed” (featuring Ed Sheeran)
This track is a little bit slower, making it all the more sweet. We can’t help but croon along with Tay and Ed during the simple and melodic chorus. And we’re totally aww-ing at the duo’s adorable lyrics, “Cause all I know is we said hello, and your eyes look like coming home.”

“The Lucky One”
Tay is famous for story telling, which she definitely does in this tune. Her songwriting has really come to a whole new level on this album, and it shines in this song. The beat is simple and the lyrics are beautiful; a perfect combo!

Have you picked up your copy of Red yet? What are your fave tracks off the album? Blog about it, babes.
