Must List

GL's top 11 songs (and music vids) of 2011

As 2011 comes to a close, we’ve decided to round up a list of our 11 top faves from this year. We couldn’t get these songs out of our heads when they first released…and, um, we still can’t.

“Who Says” – Selena Gomez

This single puts us in the best mood! Selena is a great role model. She reminds us that you should always love yourself and feel beautiful no matter what other people say.

“Rolling In The Deep” – Adele

Such an emotional song, but when you’re in one of those moods, this is the perfect tune.

“If I Die Young” – The Band Perry

A great, sad song. But we guarantee you won’t be able to resist singing along when it comes on the radio. This song definitely showcases the trio’s talent!

“Super Bass” – Nicki Minaj

Nicki never lets us down! Learned all the lyrics yet? Doesn’t matter! Just a fun, upbeat song that will bring anyone to the dance floor.

“Love You Like A Love Song” – Selena Gomez

We can’t help but wonder if she’s singing about longtime BF, Justin Bieber? What a fun, catchy tune—we can’t stop hitting repeat!

“Moves like Jagger” – Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera

We can’t help but want to dance when this song comes on. The ultimate groove tune. Once you hear it, it won’t leave your head for days!

“Tonight Tonight” – Hot Chelle Rae

Another great dance favorite that gets us up on our feet. Definitely a blast-in-your-room-and-sing-along type song!.

“Skyscraper” – Demi Lovato

Our fave from Demi’s new album Unbroken. Demi recorded this song before she went into rehab, and it really shows her emotions. Keep up the great work, Demi!

“Mistletoe” – Justin Bieber

Who wouldn’t want to be under the mistletoe with cutie J Biebs? We definitely wouldn’t mind being serenaded during this holiday season by him either. Why wasn’t GF Selena Gomez cast in this music video?

“Stereo Hearts” – Gym Class Heroes feat. Adam Levine

An upbeat but really cute love song. Maybe guys should take the hint and use this new pick up line: “You know my heart’s a stereo, and it only plays for you!” Hey, we wouldn’t mind.

“Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry

This funny, catchy tune has everyone in the room singing along. 2011 started with Rebecca Black’s “Friday,” and continued with the Friday trend with this Katy Perry hit. It’s even more fun getting let out of school on a Friday knowing you could dance to this with your friends that night.

What’s your favorite hit from 2011? Blog about it, babes.
