Meet the 17-year-old girl who got into all eight Ivy Leagues

Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, a 17-year old from Long Island, is pretty awesome. Not only is she the valedictorian at her high school, Elmont Memorial High, she was also accepted into all twelve of the colleges she applied to—including the eight Ivy League schools. Woah. That means she got into Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton and Yale.

The impressiveness doesn’t stop there—Augusta was also accepted to Johns Hopkins University, MIT, NYU and Renssellaer Polytechnic Institute, making her record seriously impressive. Augusta credits her recent acceptances (and weighted GPA of 101.64!) to her parents, teachers and her ability to work hard and push forward.

"I am humbled by all of the college acceptance letters that I recently received," she said according to her school's press release. "I am reminded that I have a responsibility to be a role model for others and use my experiences to encourage and inspire others, especially young women."

The daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Augusta's thankful for all they've done for her. "My parents have always taught me the value of hard work, and I am very thankful for that... My recent accomplishments reflect the hardworking ideals of the town of Elmont, my supportive parents and my dedicated teachers. I am elated, but most importantly, I am thankful."

Augusta doesn't know where she wants to go yet—and she definitely has a difficult choice ahead of her—but she does know she's hoping to study biochemistry and environmental science. How awesome is that?

We know this teen is going to shine wherever she ends up. Congrats, Augusta!

Watch her interview with ABC7 here.

What do you think of Augusta's accomplishments? What's your dream school?
