The next time your parents start talking about how you grew up so fast, consider this

The number-one comment from relatives that you only see once a year (family reunions are coming up—prepare now!): Oh my goodness, it seems like just yesterday you were toddling around in diapers! My, you’ve grown up so fast.

Well, as much as you might cringe every single time you here it, and think to yourself, yeah, Great Auntie May, I’ve been 16 for a whole four months now and I’ve been wearing a bra since I was 11. Let’s get with the program, just keep this video in mind….

We’ve seen photographer projects that have featured snaps of kids every day for a certain period to track minute changes, and every month to celebrate major ones, but this is a new one. Frans Hofmeester, a Dutch photographer, filmed his now-14-year-old daughter Lotte every week since she was born. As a baby, she gargles and giggles. And as a toddler, adolescent, tween and teen, she smiles and pouts and rolls her eyes at the camera, showing off new hair clips and retainers and braces and glasses.

If your parents did this, what sort of moments do you think they would have captured? What do you think you would have talked about when you were younger?
