Hungry? Brain need a boost? Not to worry, chicas.

According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, a team of researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles, found that omega-3 fatty acids in certain foods act as "brain food." The nutrient helps to delay or prevent Alzheimer's disease as well as cardiovascular diseases.

You can find these healthful nuggest in lots of food such as eggs, walnuts, salmon, soybeans, tuna, tofu, and pumpkin seeds.

So the next time you sit down for a meal, keep in mind that a little omega-3 can get your brain movin'. Scramble some eggs for breakfast, grab a have a nutty trail mix for a snack and choose the seared salmon over fried chicken for dinner. Yum!
