Get to know her: Man With a Plan star Grace Kaufman

What happens when you're born and bred in LA and have actors for parents? Well, you jump into the acting game yourself, naturally. In 2010, Man With a Plan star Grace Kaufman did just that.

"I have loved growing up as an actress in such a creative place as LA," Grace spills to GL. "I used to watch TV shows that [my parents] did before I was born and say, 'I want to do that!' I have learned so much from them."

What she's learned has taken her pretty far, too. You've probably noticed her in an episode or two of Disney's Lab Rats, and even an episode of Jessie, but her new role as Kate Burns in the CBS sitcom Man With a Plan is going to make this Cali girl a star. Catch her in action as Kate—the eldest daughter of two parents who are navigating shifting gender roles—below:

Recognize Kate's dad? If you spend as much time on Netflix as we do (which is, like, a lot), you'll know him as Joey Tribbiani from the '90s sitcom Friends. Grace says working with Matt LeBlanc, a comedy mastermind, is unbelievable.

"It’s been so incredible to work with actors like Matt LeBlanc, Liza Snyder and Kevin Nealon. I’ve watched them in Friends and Saturday Night Live and more, and I can’t believe I’m actually getting to work and learn from them!"

Not just an actress, Grace is basically a triple-threat: she also sings, dances and plays piano! It makes us wonder, will Grace have any opps to put her multitude of talents to use on the show? ::Crosses fingers::

"I don't know, but I hope it happens! I’ve had the opportunity to do several stage musicals in LA and I continue to study singing with some great teachers, so it would be a total blast."

Speaking of triple-threats, that's definitely what we'd consider Grace and her on-screen sibs Emme and Teddy. If you've caught any eps of the show on CBS this season, you know that Kate would be nothing without her hilarious younger sibs, and that the three make for some giggle-inducing moments, especially when they're bickering.

"Even though they have their ups and downs, they still love one another and when they stick together, they can be a very mischievous trio!"

See what Grace and her sibs get up to on Man With a Plan on Mondays on CBS at 8:30 p.m. Yep, that means you can watch it tonight! After you tune in, share your thoughts in the comments below or tweet us @girlslifemag.
