K.C. Undercover's Veronica is "Chicago's" new Roxie!

K.C. Cooper's bestie, Marisa, has stepped off the screen and onto the stage!

From now until Nov. 26, Veronica Dunne, the actress behind the hilarious Marisa on K.C. Undercover, can be found on Broadway, singing and strutting around the stage of the Ambassador Theater as "Chicago's" newest Roxie.

The 21 year old is the youngest to ever portray the character, but this is definitely not Veronica's first time on the stage. The triple threat (she acts! she sings! she dances!) has been performing since she was 4 in productions such as "Cinderella," "Cabaret" and, most recently, "The Black Suits." But the road she's taken to get there has had many a fork. On the cusp of college, Veronica had to make a choice between attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to study musical theater or pursuing her career in Hollywood. In pursuit of her dream, V chose her career. But not long after, another monumental decision came her way: A Broadway debut as the lead in "Mamma Mia" or a role alongside Zendaya in K.C. Undercover?

She, of course, chose K.C. But now, she's finally been able to make that Broadway debut she's always dreamed of. On Oct. 17, Veronica stepped into the shoes of Roxie. We sat down with the budding star during her first whirlwind week on Broadway where she gushed about "Chicago," Zendaya and her *dream* role.

Girls Life: What inspired you to start performing at such a young age?
Veronica Dunne: Well my dad is an actor, so it was already in the family. They never told me to do it or anything, it's just something that I've always felt compelled to do—to perform and be on stage.

GL: Between K.C. Undercover, "Chicago" and the movie you just finished, The Ninth Passenger, you're a *very* busy girl. How do you balance it all?
Veronica: I've been really lucky where one thing kind of followed another, so it hasn't really been on top of each other so far… I'm grateful for being busy! Being busy is always a good thing.

GL: We know you’ve been at a couple crossroads in your career: You had to decide whether or not to go to Carnegie Mellon and whether or not to do take the role in "Mamma Mia." What was going through your head during those pivotal decisions, and how did you feel after?
Veronica: When we’re making a big decision like that...you hope that you're doing it right, but you never really know. So I just kind of made the decisions based on me and my past knowing what I wanted to be in the future and luckily it all worked out.

GL: Do you feel that those decisions have made you a stronger person?
Veronica: I think any time you make a decision that’s hard for you you grow in a certain way.

GL: How does it feel to be the youngest ever Roxie?
Veronica: It's such an honor, you know? It really is. It's not really an honor to be the youngest, it's an honor to be a part of the show in general. It's such an iconic character, so I feel a strong responsibility to [her], to the script and to the music. It's amazing and I’m really lucky to do this.

GL: Are any of your K.C. Undercover co-stars going to come and a show?
Veronica: Zendaya came opening night! They caught this really amazing photo of me and her, too. I was just throwing my arms around her and crying that she was there. Kamil [McFadden] is coming, too, with his mom, and our executive producer is coming this week—and Zendaya is coming back!

GL: It sounds like Z is your number one fan!
Veronica: We’re all so so supportive of each other, really, truly. When I found out she was doing Spider-Man: [Homecoming] and The Greatest Showman, it might as well been me doing it because I was *so* excited for her. She's been an amazing friend. She stands up for so many awesome causes and just seems like a great person and the truth of the matter is, is that's her through and through. It doesn’t matter if she’s in front of the camera or not, she's the same awesome, down-to-earth, lovely person.

GL: What is your end game when it comes to your career—are you more interested in the stage or the screen? Where do you see yourself going?
Veronica: I hopefully will be able to do both. I love being able to do great work wherever. If it means it's gonna be for television, great. If it means it’s a film, awesome. If it means another Broadway show, that’s amazing, too!

GL: Are there any other musicals you’ve had your eye on and would love to be in?
Veronica: "Wicked!" I’ve been in the mix for Glinda [the Good Witch], we’re just trying to find the right time. That’s *definitely* my dream role.

Have you ever had to make a monumental decision like Veronica? Will you be seeing her in "Chicago" as Roxie? Let us know in the comments below!
