The it-girl way to wear socks this fall

As you bundle up for the cooler weather, accessorizing can be a little tricky. With so many layers, how much more can you add to spice up your outfit? Scarves, hats and jackets are great fall accessories but there's one you might not think about as much: socks.

Socks might seem more like a necessity than a way to make a fashion statement, but the way you style them can change your whole look.

1. Wear over-the-knee socks with tights.
It's pretty common (and totally stylish) to wear long socks with leggings or jeans, but have you tried wearing them with tights? Not only can over-the-knee socks add some extra warmth (tights are pretty thin, after all), but they can also put a new spin on your fave spring outfit.

2. Wear socks bunched up around your ankles.
If you're looking for a more laidback, cozy look, wear leggings with thick socks bunched up at your ankles. Add a bulky sweater and scarf and you have the perfect outfit for a chilly day.

3. Wear ankle socks with rolled up jeans.
You probably thought the days of rolling up your jeans ended sometime in September. Rock rolled up jeans throughout the fall by accessorizing with cute socks.

4. Wear sandals in the fall.
You also probably thought you had to put your sandals away, but sandals paired with socks can still look totally cute (and *so* comfortable).

5. Wear bright, barely-visible socks.
Fall can get a little dreary. Socks are a great way to add some color to your outfit. Accessorize with some bright, warm socks peeking out.
