A polka dot mani you can actually DIY

Right now, we're all about minimalistic, moon-rising manis, as spied backstage at New York Fashion Week. Here's why this low-key nail art is perfect for the (spooky) season...and way beyond.

Unlike lots of nail art, you don't need to be a pro to paint it on perfectly. Follow our prep tips for an at-home mani. Then, use an inky polish (according to HuffPo, this shade is Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure in Dark Hue-more, which is a super dark navy) to create one dot on each nail. The secret to making it look fresh is scattering the placement of your polkas. Let the paint dry, and then add a clear coat. Done!

While this design might've reigned on the spring runway, it seems too perfect to put it on hold for a few months.
