Your 5-minute nighttime skincare routine

We’re here to help you figure out that whole beauty sleep thing. One of the best things you can do to get (and keep!) clear skin is to take care of your face at night. Your skin heals and regenerates while you snooze, so it’s crucial to make sure you’re using the right products to help that process along.

    Wash away the day

It’s super important to wash off all that makeup, oil and dirt so there’s less of a chance of clogging your pores.  Even if you don’t realize it, you’re probably touching your face constantly throughout the day. Plus, phones harbor a TON of bacteria, and after holding your cell to your cheek, it’s probably a good idea to wash all of that gunk away. We love a gentle all-natural and organic product that gets the job done without over-drying your skin.

    Get toned

After you wash your face, you want to make sure you’ve removed all impurities. Swipe away all traces of any left-behind dirt or oil with an oil-free toner. A formula made for sensitive skin won’t dry you out.

    Take it off

Make sure to remove any leftover eye makeup. If left on your face overnight, old eye makeup could cause an icky infection. We heart any eye products designed for sensitive skin, because the skin in the eye area is super delicate.

    Zap zits

If you have any zits or blackheads you want cleared ASAP, use an acne spot treatment that contains salicylic acid. Be sure to use it only on the small area where your blemish is, as it can be a smidge harsh.

    Make sure to moisturize

After washing, toning and treating, your skin might be a little tight and dry. Although it feels clean, don’t stop there! Dry skin can lead to overproduction of oil—which means more zits.  Make sure to moisturize at the end of your routine and you’ll wake up with soft, glowing skin. Choose a night cream with vitamin E which will help revitalize skin.
