Ed. Obsession Under $20: Magnetic mani


Nail art is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world. But as much as I’m drawn to designs that call for tape or nail pens, it can get tedious and messy—especially if I lack time or patience.

 

That’s what attracted me to magnetic nail polish. After painting on a coat, you hold the handy dandy magnet over the nail while the itty-bitty iron particles move toward the magnet. The result is a crazy cool 3D pattern in no more than a few minutes.

 

At $16 a bottle, it's a little pricey, but this isn’t a one trick polish. Chevrons, stripes, starbursts, and swirls—the designs are limitless. Want some more inspiration? Head to Pinterest and see which patterns pull you in.
