All of my friends change into sports
bras for gym class and practice, and they say I should to. But do I have to?
Sports bras are all about comfort. They are meant to offer more support and
control when you’re active. For girls and women with larger breasts, that means
that they aren’t as inconvenienced or pained by bouncing boobs while playing
soccer or running track, let’s say. Girls with smaller chests—or girls who just
prefer their every-day bras—might not notice a difference. And some chicas
prefer the full coverage offered by sports bras, especially when exercising in
skimpier tanks or gaping jerseys.
If you wear fancier bras with lace and
delicate details, a sports bra will be easier to simply wash ‘n’ wear. And for
high-impact sports, an underwire bra might be a little ouchy after hours of
pounding up and down the field.
Bottom line? If you’re perfectly happy
wearing the same bra to work out as you do to class, that’s totally up to you.
