That is so lame! And right before your eyes, no less. It’s not uncommon for a girl’s friend and boyfriend to feel a little something for each other. But it’s also common courtesy for them not to act on it! Sounds like you need to find yourself some caring, trustworthy friends. When school starts, sign up for at least two activities (sports, band, newspaper, drama club, whatever), and use the opportunity to connect with new girls and guys. As for Romeo and Juliet, they deserve each other—and you definitely deserve better.
