"Not So Perfect"

I'm told I'm not perfect.

I'm told I'm not right

I'm told I'm not pretty or skinny or bright.

But who are you to judge,

a book by it's cover?

Who are you to say,

I'm not perfect in any way?

So take these words,

Listen to them clearly

Treat me very dearly.

I have people who love me,

I have kind words in my head,

but your words of hatred,
well your words are just dead.

You may have everything that I do not have,

but I have everything I need,

So take your words,
swallow them down
because I'll tell you once
that your words do not count.

You're told that your perfect,

you're told that you're right,

You're told that you're pretty and skinny and bright.

But who am I to judge,

a book by it's cover?
